distribute excellent straw-bale construction resources in order to
encourage its widespread acceptance and use as a sustainable building
method. We founded and published The Last Straw Journal for six years,
and co-author and publish Build It With Bales, A Step-By-Step Guide To
Straw-Bale Construction.
We remain, first and foremost, educators, leading workshops and seminars
worldwide, as well as offering wallraising planning and oversight,
consultation on design, project sequencing and resource identification,
and training programs for volunteers.
We also encourage and assist the development of straw-bale technology,
reasearch and codes internationally, as well as assisting and connecting
regional organizations.
As media consultants, we have coordinated many dozens of stories in/on
local, regional and national media, including ABC's Good Morning America,
CBS This Morning, People Magazine, National Geographic, the New York
Times, NPR and PBS, including This Old House.
We seek collaboration with champions of other life affirming ideas and
technologies in all our work.
